I cannot recommend Dawn Britnell highly enough. She has taken me from being nervous about cantering Tinka, my horse, in the school to happily cantering out in front on hacks—and even winning awards for our efforts, the attached photo is us winning a prize for doing the most miles in our local endurance group.
Dawn’s biggest strength, and what has helped me the most, is her focus on rider mindset. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself and struggled with self-doubt, which affected my riding with Tinka. I asked Dawn to fit a second hand WOW Saddle I had bought. My dressage horse, Bernie, was asymmetrical and I had researched WOW Saddles and thought they could be the best saddle for him. Dawn spent time sorting out the fir for Bernie & myself. She was very thorough and made sure we were both happy. Bernie went on to be placed in many British Dressage classes and Championships. Dawn has also fitted 3 of my young event horses with saddles. One was particularly difficult to fit but Dawn came up with a solution for her. Now I have a saddle that stays put and my horse is happy in. If you have a saddle challenge, Dawn is your answer.

After visiting the WOW stand at Badminton this year (2025), I arranged a follow up with Dawn to find out if a WOW saddle would suit Glennie. I explained that I was struggling to sit in my current dressage saddle and felt that the blocks were not suitable for me and that it was not the optimum saddle for Glennie. He felt a bit 'cut and shut' and blocked through his back. I was finding it difficult to establish a good medium trot without him bracing.
Dawn visited and was extremely thorough with checking Glennie and fitting a suitable option. Dawn is exceptional, in that she is not only an experienced rider and owner but also an excellent coach with a good eye for the biomechanics and movement of each horse and rider. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits to have found a saddle that I feel comfortable with and Glennie has improved greatly in musculature and strength. He is now using his back and core more correctly and improving in suppleness.
Happy pony and happy rider. So much so that we bought a jumping saddle for hacking and pole work which is equally fab :-)
